This variety of clementines is simply called “Nova”; they are known in Spain as “Clemenvilla”. This is a cross-breed created in the 1940-s in Florida from mixing ordinary clementine and Orlando tangerine. The skin is thin, intensively orange, easy to peel. The tree has fruits of medium size. “Nova” is a clementine which is gaining huge popularity not only because it has hardly any pips, but also due to its sweet, juicy, immensely pleasant taste. It is picked from December until January.
